GLITCH
Here’s the sound of my animated gif raw data: http://levinegabriella.com/appnewtech/onion.wav
onions
I cut up an onion into many slices :
Then I made an animated gif. Then I modified Kyle Macdonald’s code for basically, extruding the layers of a gif out into multiple frames.
Here is the code in open frameworks for reinventing the 3d onion.
Basically, an MRI and CT scan take cross sectional images of a shape in space. So by slicing the onion into multiple cross sectional images, and making a really DIY version of a 3d scan,I can therefore extrude it into space.
Here are some shots of the onions:
Here are some shots from other MRI’s:
CNC universal joints to use later
I 3d printed these parts for universal joints, first using the solid white, then I used a blend of black and white (so it was sort of soft)
This is one type of joint that i thought might work for a snake like robot that can be articulated at each joint in more than one axis.
